Our District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) play a critical role in fostering a culture of excellence within each pharmacy. They act as role models, demonstrate genuine care, and set high standards for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you are vital in delivering our purpose, embodying our values, and showing authentic care for patients.
You will work across the district to fill pharmacist scheduling gaps, supporting pharmacy teams under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager (PM) and Rx District Leader (DL). Your responsibilities include:
- Supporting pharmacy management
- Overseeing pharmacy operations
- Ensuring safe and effective medication dispensing
- Managing and improving patient health through safe dispensing, counseling, and immunizations
- Traveling district-wide to fill pharmacist shifts
- Overseeing pharmacy operations as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy
- Supporting safe prescription fulfillment
- Contributing to positive patient experiences through empathetic care and team coaching
- Proactively offering immunizations
- Supporting inventory management with a focus on cold chain products
- Maintaining clinical and technical skills
- Supporting clinical services like testing and prescribing where permitted
Additionally, you will ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies to uphold patient safety and a respectful workplace.
