Small Animal Vet – Farnborough Veterinary Centre

Farnborough Veterinary Centre is a small single vet practice which is twinned with a larger two vet practice at Ancells Farm in Fleet and both branches are part of the Nine Mile Veterinary Group. The role is maternity cover starting from September 2025 and is flexible for full or part time hours – if you have specific hours that you would want to work then we would be happy to consider them. As part of the wider team twinned with Fleet there is flexibility to work some hours at both branches. Whilst the Farnborough role is mostly sole charge as there are two full time vets at the Fleet branch and a team at the Nine Mile Hospital there would always be support available.

We are a small, friendly, supportive team of 2 FTE vets, 2 RVNs, 3 SVNs and one part time receptionist across both branches. The Farnborough site has an experienced RVN and an SVN on site. We have ultrasonography, radiography and in house blood machines, as well as a surgical suite and dental machine on site at Farnborough and similar at our Fleet branch. Whilst you are with us we would expect you to work cases up and build relationships with your clients, offering the highest standards of care. The ideal candidate would be comfortable with sole charge, as well as routine surgery, dentistry and diagnostics.

The practice is 100% small animal work – mostly dogs and cats but we have some rabbits and guinea pigs on our books as well.

Ideally wewould like for you to have a share in the 1:4 Saturday morning consults, which would be at the Fleet branch. There is no requirement for OOH work. Salary up to £65K per annum FTE.

The successful candidate will ideally have a minimum of 2 years\’ experience post grad but we would be happy to consider a 1 year post grad that was confident with sole charge.
