Here at Thompsons Veterinary Surgery, we have a position become available for a Clinical Director to complement our existing practice management team. Our ideal candidate will be a confident all round first opinion vet, who is capable of leading our small veterinary team. This is an ideal opportunity for a Vet looking to take on more clinical responsibility and is a great first step into management. Our practice is fortunate to have a fantastic practice director who handles the day-to-day running and business side of the practice. This will allow you to work with our Head nurse, focussing on the best patient care and give you the time to support and mentor our vet team.

Rota

We are ideally looking for a full-time Vet to work 40 hours per week, but we appreciate that for some candidates, part-time options may work better for commitments outside of work therefore, we are happy to discuss all options. We are very understanding of work/life balance and are strict and supportive of ensuring allocated breaks are taken within the team.

Benefits and Salary:

Salary up to £70k pro rata, dependent on experience. We also offer a generous benefits package, including five weeks annual leave, plus 8 bank holidays, up to 5 days’ long service days, and the option to purchase up to 2 weeks additional leave per year, an industry-leading contributory pension, among many other benefits.

Furthermore, we support further career progression with a generous CPD (Continuing Professional Development) allowance and associated time off. CVS provides a wide range of internal CPD courses, via our bespoke system, KnowledgeHub, not exclusively focused on clinical work, allowing those interested in diversifying their skill set to benefit.
