We are seeking an enthusiastic individual with a passion for animals to join us as a Veterinary Receptionist at Matt Smith Veterinary Surgery.
Location: Chesterfield
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 30 hours per week
Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday (with 10-hour shifts over 3 days) with a share in the Saturday 09.00 – 12.00 rota (will be a few a year)

Day-to-day Duties Of The Role Will Include
- Answering phones and booking appointments
- Responding to queries via phone, in person and email
- Registering new clients
- Completing insurance forms
- Dispensing medications
- Taking payments
- And most importantly; providing a warm and welcoming experience to our clients arriving at the practice
What We\’re Looking For In Our Veterinary Receptionist
- Previous Receptionist experience is essential, veterinary experience is a plus!
- Resilient with the ability to cope with potentially distressing and emotional situations
- An excellent communicator with strong empathy
- Excellent customer service skills and experience in dealing with members of the public
- A positive attitude and excellent teamwork skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other database management and operating systems
