B&W Equine Hospital is one of Europe\’s most advanced equine diagnostic and surgical centres, and the largest equine hospital in the South West. Led by a team of specialist veterinary surgeons, we offer cutting-edge care in surgery, orthopaedics, diagnostic imaging, internal medicine, and sports medicine & rehabilitation.
We are now recruiting for a Nursing Services Manager to lead and support our large nursing team, including RVNs, imaging technicians, and patient care assistants. This is a newly created, non-clinical leadership role ideal for someone with experience managing teams in the medical or veterinary sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day management of the nursing team
- Coordinate nurse case allocation and optimise patient flow through the hospital
- Conduct one-to-ones, manage training needs, and support team development
- Manage the out-of-hours rota and liaise with clinical leads and the referrals team
- Work closely with the Practice Manager and Hospital Director
- Use practice management software and tools such as Excel to support operations
Veterinary nursing qualifications are welcomed but not essential. What matters most is your ability to lead with confidence, communicate effectively, and bring a proactive, organised approach to team management.
