Job Opportunity: Head Receptionist at Stokewood Vets
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head Receptionist to join our team at Stokewood Vets.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, with flexibility for fewer hours if needed.
The role involves working Monday to Friday with a shared Saturday rota, likely 1 in 3, which can be discussed at interview.
Responsibilities
- Providing friendly and efficient service to clients and their animals.
- Reception duties such as answering phones, responding to emails, booking appointments, registering new clients, completing insurance forms, dispensing medications, taking payments, and welcoming clients.
- Managing the reception team, staff/holiday rotas, and recruitment.
Candidate Requirements
- At least 2 years\’ experience as a Veterinary Receptionist.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
- Experience managing teams is highly beneficial.
- Previous customer-facing experience is essential.
- IT literacy, including Microsoft Office.
- Excellent command of written and spoken English and numeracy.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and show empathy.
Training and Salary
Access to our Client Care Hub and support sessions for training. Salary is approximately £26,000 depending on experience (pro rata).
