The Opportunity
We’re partnering with a high-growth B2B SaaS company that is transforming how businesses convert website traffic into revenue. With significant investment in engineering, they’re scaling their technology function and hiring multiple Software Development Managers as part of a major team restructure. This is a genuinely exciting opportunity to join a modern, product-led engineering environment where you’ll have real influence, autonomy, and the ability to make a visible impact.
The Role
As a Software Development Manager, you’ll lead a team of around 8 engineers, focusing on delivery, quality, and performance. This is a non-coding role, but still highly technical — you’ll be responsible for setting standards, guiding engineers, and ensuring the team builds scalable, reliable systems. You’ll play a key role in:
- Driving engineering best practices and code quality
- Improving team performance and delivery
- Supporting technical decision‑making
- Building a high‑performing, collaborative culture
Frontend: Vue.js
Cloud: AWS (primarily), some Azure
Data: SQL Server, Snowflake
You don’t need to come from this exact stack — but you do need to understand what good looks like when building scalable backend systems and microservices.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong background in software engineering (ideally backend-focused)
- Experience in SaaS, microservices, or high‑scale environments
- Current or recent experience as a:
- Software Development Manager
- Engineering Manager
- Tech Lead / Team Lead stepping up
Ability to:
- Review and challenge code quality
- Drive standards and best practices
- Lead and develop engineers
Why Join?
- High‑growth SaaS business with strong momentum
- Real impact – not just another layer in a large organisation
- Collaborative, low‑ego culture with high‑quality engineers
- Clear opportunity for progression and career growth
- Forward‑thinking approach, including AI adoption
