As part of their continued growth, they are looking to strengthen the supply chain team with an experienced Senior Technical Buyer.

Key Essentials:
- Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, as Senior Technical Buyer you will be responsible for the procurement of mechanical assemblies and electrical components to support production demands.
- Working closely with a Technical Buyer and cross‑functional teams including engineering and production.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings to support accurate purchasing decisions.
- Managing supplier relationships, including negotiations, performance monitoring, and development.
- Ensuring materials are delivered on time, within budget, and meet required specifications.
- Driving cost reduction and continuous improvement initiatives across the supply chain.
- Utilising ERP/MRP systems to manage purchasing activity, data, and reporting.
- Promoting a strong health & safety culture, including safety stop reporting.
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment on project and production requirements.
Requirements:
- Proven experience working as a Senior Technical Buyer within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering and technical drawings.
- Experience using ERP or MRP systems for procurement activities.
- Strong negotiation, supplier management, and cost control skills.
- Good knowledge of health & safety practices within manufacturing.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
