Are you a Project Manager experienced in working on the successful delivery of waste water mains replacement projects? Looking for your next challenge? If so, then read on! Our client is a leading national utility company who are working on a long-term utility framework contract. The Project Manager role is key in ensuring waste water projects are delivered efficiently, safely, and in line with programme. These include deep excavations for open cut, shafts and headings.

Project Manager Key Essentials:

  • As Project Manager, you will work closely with the management team, Planners, and Quality staff, playing a critical role in keeping projects moving and removing obstacles before they impact delivery.
  • Develop and manage short-term lookahead programmes (2–6 weeks) for sewer mains replacement works.
  • Identify and mitigate constraints including permits, traffic management, materials, labour, and access.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure planned vs actual delivery aligns with the project programme.
  • Liaise with Planners to ensure programme accuracy and updates reflect site realities.
  • Collaborate with the Quality team to ensure works are delivered right first time.
  • Proactively identify risks, issues, and inefficiencies, implementing practical solutions.
  • Drive productivity improvements across workstreams and gangs.
  • Monitor site performance and provide clear reporting on progress, risks, and outputs.
  • Support the coordination of streetworks, permits, and stakeholder interfaces.
  • Ensure compliance with clients standards, NEC contracts and SHEQ requirements.

Delivery Coordinator Requirements:

  • Proven experience working on waste water (sewer) mains projects with a strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to remove blockers quickly and effectively.
  • Qualified with SMSTS, NRSWA, TWC/TWS and ideally AP for lifting.
  • Ability to interpret and challenge construction programmes and sequencing.
  • Good IT skills including Excel and ideally MS Project.
