Responsibilities
- Reporting to the Commercial Director, oversee the commercial delivery of capital utility projects under NEC form of contract
- Preparing and submitting CVRs whilst ensuring the timely agreement of project changes to minimise WIP, maximise cash flow and ensure payments are received within agreed timescales
- Managing and capturing all project variations and ensuring full commercial entitlement is achieved
- Producing and maintaining accurate cash flow forecasts, reporting on variances and providing commercial insight
- Helping to ensure business targets are exceeded by identifying commercial risks and resolving issues at the earliest opportunity
- Ensuring commercial and administrative systems, budgets and cost control procedures are followed throughout the project lifecycle
- Maintaining accurate project records and ensuring contractual obligations are fully administered
- Helping to lead and support a commercial team, providing guidance and mentoring where required
Qualifications
- A minimum of 5 years' experience working as a Senior Quantity Surveyor on utility capital projects
- Ideally professionally qualified in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or possess equivalent industry experience
- Strong knowledge of schedules of rates, CVRs, cost control, commercial reporting and project forecasting on NEC contracts
