Electrical Designer Key Essentials:
- As an Electrical Designer, you’ll be responsible for producing design drawings and technical documents for HV/LV infrastructure projects (up to 11kV) ensuring compliance with DNO and statutory requirements.
- Collaborate with project teams, subcontractors, and DNO representatives to develop and submit complete design packs.
- Support project delivery from early design through to construction, ensuring the design is maintained and assisting with any technical queries on-site.
- Contribute to tender design, value engineering, and early contractor involvement (ECI).
- Ensure designs meet all necessary safety, regulatory, and quality standards including CDM and ENA guidelines.
Electrical Designer Requirements:
- As an Electrical Designer, you should have strong experience in DNO power infrastructure design (e.g., UKPN, SSE or SPEN).
- Proficient in AutoCAD and familiar with G81 standards and ENA documents.
- Good understanding of electrical and civil design principles and design risk management.
