We are currently working with one of the South’sleading utility and reinstatement companies. This position offers a stable career with a well-established contractor boasting a healthy order book with several clients and the freedom to manage your own workload across the areas. Salary to £75k | Company Vehicle or Allowance | Pension | 28Days Holiday Key Essentials: * Reporting to senior management; your role will involve overall management of the company’s plant and transport. The fleet entails circa.120 vehicles including vans, cars, pick-ups, 7.5t lorries, grabs and hotboxes. Plant includes mini-diggers (to 1.5t), trailers, whackers, breakers and small plant * Utilising and maintaining the fleet to the best of its capabilities * Ensuring that all vehicles are routinely serviced with essential maintenance carried out; ensuring that O Licence conditions, FORS and DVSA guidelines are adhered to * Ensuring that all P&T records are kept up to date * Enforce the group vehicle policy; ensure that all drivers / operators have the correct / valid licence for the fleet being driven * Maintain relations with fleet / hire companies; regularly negotiate rates and agreements * Ensure fleet insurance …
