About us: CVL is a family-run supplier to the commercial vehicle industry. Our ambition is to be a market-leading converter for SMEs and fleets of up to 200 vehicles. As one of few bott UK Service Partners, a fantastic technical team and with 40 years within the commercial vehicle space, we are well-positioned to expand this department.

The role: As part of our growth, we're looking for a Key Accounts Administrator to join the team. This role sits at the heart of the customer experience at CVL: you're the thread running from first enquiry through to aftersales care, including warranties. It's a role for someone who genuinely enjoys variety, and takes real satisfaction in seeing a job through from start to finish. You'll work closely with our sales and operations teams, and directly alongside our current Key Account Manager, learning the accounts and the business as you go. Over time, there's a clear path to develop this role into a Key Accounts Manager position as you build your knowledge of our customers, products, and processes.

What you'll do:

  • Quoting: preparing customer quotes and proactively following them up, rather than letting them go cold
  • Specifications: producing accurate specification documents for bespoke conversions and fitouts
  • Purchasing: placing and tracking orders with suppliers to keep jobs on schedule
  • Scheduling: coordinating work through the workshop in line with customer timelines and operational capacity
  • Customer liaison: being a reliable, friendly point of contact for customers throughout their project, managing expectations honestly along the way
  • Supplier liaison: building working relationships with suppliers to keep things moving and resolve issues quickly
  • Aftersales care: handling queries and warranty matters after a vehicle has left us, making sure customers feel looked after long after the sale
  • Problem solving: spotting where something's about to go wrong (a delayed part, a scheduling clash, a customer with a question) and getting ahead of it

No two days will look quite the same, but you’ll always be the person holding the thread between what the customer needs and what the business is delivering.

What you’ll bring:

  • Experience in a customer service, sales support, account management, or administrative role, ideally somewhere with a similar mix of customer contact and operational coordination
  • Strong organisational skills and the confidence to manage your own workload and priorities without being told what to do next
  • Comfort with numbers and detail, quotes and specifications need to be accurate
  • Clear, confident communication, on the phone, in writing, and face to face
  • A genuine curiosity about how things work and how to solve problems, rather than just following a script
  • Resilience and a level head when juggling multiple live jobs at once
  • Proficiency with standard office software (Excel, Outlook, etc.); experience with CRM or quoting is a bonus but not essential
