The Role

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
  • Support children with a range of needs, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and SEMH needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning strategies.
  • Encourage pupil engagement, independence, and confidence in the classroom.
  • Monitor progress and contribute to pupil reviews and support plans.
  • Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience working with children with SEN in a primary school or similar setting.
  • A patient, caring, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to adapt support strategies to meet individual pupil needs.
