Internship Overview
Cvent is looking for a part-time university student to support our Meetings & Events Team in the UK. The ideal candidate will assist in the day-to-day operations and support the Meetings & Events Team. We are looking for a career-driven individual that is ultimately looking for a full-time job in Marketing or Events post-graduation. The candidate must be able to learn quickly, think on their feet and take initiative to assist the Meetings & Events Team. This internship is a great way to gain experience in a fast-paced business environment with an extremely reputable company.
Assuming the job is performed to the standards that are expected, Cvent will provide a letter of recommendation to future employers. This is a paid internship. We will complete any required documentation or paperwork to earn internship credit for university.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Meetings & Events Team in various planning tasks for Cvent's Conference, Cvent CONNECT Europe (including speaker management, session logistics, venue logistics, etc.)
- Contribute to the development and implementation of various Event Operations initiatives (process improvements, automation, inventory management, etc.)
- Organize event technology logistics for select event programs including registration, attendee tracking, video production, reporting, and pre/post-event evaluations
- Review & process invoices and manage expense reconciliation for event budgets
- Specialized trade show and seminar tasks (coordinating calendars, managing shipping of event materials, sourcing and researching new venues, etc.)
- Support ad-hoc Meetings & Events administrative tasks
Candidate Profile
- The ideal candidate will be a proactive, driven, and detail-oriented person interested in Event Planning & Marketing
- Understands virtual event experiences (webinars)
- Tech savvy and eager to learn new tools and processes
- A creative eye and ability to think outside the box
- Professional phone and telepresence demeanor. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Publisher, PowerPoint) and Zoom
- Prior office experience preferred (but not required)
- Prior experience with Cvent tools is a plus
