Cvent is looking for a full‑time college student to support our Meetings & Events Team. The ideal candidate will assist in the day‑to‑day operations and support the Meetings & Events Team as a whole. This internship is a great way to gain experience in a fast‑paced business environment with an extremely reputable company. Assuming the job is performed to the standards that are expected, Cvent will provide a letter of recommendation to future employers. This is a paid internship.

As our Meetings & Events Intern, you’ll support Cvent’s Meetings & Events Team in the day‑to‑day planning and execution of key programs across hosted conferences, internal events, tradeshows, and seminars. You’ll gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced business environment, working closely with event professionals, marketers, and cross‑functional stakeholders while learning how enterprise‑level events come to life.

In this role, you will:

  • Support the Meetings & Events Team with planning tasks for Cvent’s flagship conference, Cvent CONNECT, including speaker management, session logistics, and attendee experience support.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of internal company events (virtual, hybrid, and in‑person), such as companywide programs, department initiatives, and team morale events.
  • Contribute to event operations projects, including process improvements, basic automation tasks, and inventory/asset management for event materials.
  • Help organize event technology logistics for select programs, including registration setup, attendee tracking, basic video/streaming support, reporting, and pre‑/post‑event evaluations.
  • Review and process daily invoices, assist with expense tracking, and support reconciliation for event budgets.
  • Support tradeshow and seminar logistics such as calendar coordination, shipping of event materials, and tracking of deliveries and returns.
  • Provide general administrative support for the Meetings & Events Team, including documentation, scheduling, and other ad‑hoc operational tasks as needed.

Here’s What You Need:

  • Proactive, driven, and detail‑oriented, with a strong interest in event planning and marketing as a career path.
  • Comfort with virtual experiences (e.g., webinars or streamed sessions) and curiosity about hybrid event formats.
  • Tech‑savvy and eager to learn new tools and processes; prior experience with event or marketing platforms is a plus.
  • A creative eye and the ability to think outside the box when supporting event experiences and attendee engagement.
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills, with a polished phone, video, and email presence.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and virtual meeting platforms such as Zoom.
  • Prior office, campus leadership, or event‑related experience preferred but not required.
  • Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, ideally with a focus in marketing, hospitality, communications, business, or a related field, and in good academic standing (GPA of 3.0 or higher preferred).
