Job Description
Pre-Sales Project Engineer (knowledge of automation and automatic machines, industrial plant engineering and/or industrial logistics is required).
Location: Milton Keynes – Hybrid (1-2 days from the office; rest of the time from home).
Salary package: (£40.000-50.000 depending on experience) + discretionary bonus based on performance and benefits (life insurance, private healthcare and pension)
Our client is a leading global supplier of intralogistics solutions specialising in automated storage and picking. The HQ of the company are based in Italy (over 400 + employees).
Based in Milton Keynes, this is an exciting hybrid role and as a Pre-Sales Project Engineer you will play an important role in driving and supporting the growth of the business in the UK, collaborating with the sales team to deliver customer solutions.
As part of your job, you will:
- Identify the best technical solutions for sales, considering the customer requirements, flow analysis and costs
- Create the project layout, the estimate, and the offer
- Evaluate documents/tenders relating to specific requests and interface with other teams (procurement, project operations, industrial operations) to gather necessary information for the development of the project within the required timeframe.
- Process and disseminate the internal order and cost sheet relating to the operational entities of the project sold
- Collaborate with commercial entities to support them from a technical point of view both at headquarters and at the customer premises, making the maximum contribution to the success of the project
- Ensure processing times of all information requested by Area Manager are managed appropriately
- Collaborate closely with the supervisor to be always aligned on the activities and facilitate cooperation with the headquarter
Skills & Experience
- Degree in Mechanical, Management, Mechatronics or Civil Engineering
- Knowledge of automation and automatic machines, industrial plant engineering and industrial logistics
- Knowledge of reading and integrating drawings from external suppliers
- Knowledge of Autocad
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to evaluate and process information accurately
- Problem solving skills
- Collaborative working style and ability to work well in a team
- Highly customer orientated and able to understand the needs of the client
- Results oriented with strong analytical skills
- Proficient in MS Office
