We are looking for an experienced qualified Accountant and a Chartered Tax Advisor (CTA) to provide specialist tax advice and support to our client’s multinational clients, ensuring compliance with UK tax laws while offering strategic tax planning. This role involves working with individuals, businesses, and corporate clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tax Compliance: Preparing and reviewing tax returns (corporation tax, VAT, income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax).
- Tax Planning & Advisory: Providing proactive tax planning strategies to optimize tax efficiency.
- Legislation & Compliance: Ensuring clients comply with UK tax laws and regulations.
- Client Liaison: Advising individuals, SMEs, and large corporations on tax matters.
- HMRC Correspondence: Handling HMRC queries, investigations, and negotiations.
- International Tax: Advising on cross-border tax issues (if applicable).
- Business Development: Identifying new tax planning opportunities for clients.
- Audit & Risk Management: Reviewing tax structures for compliance and efficiency.
- Review & management: Working closely with colleagues in reviewing and finalising accounts and tax returns.
Essential Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualifications: CTA qualification (Chartered Tax Adviser), possibly ACCA, ACA, or ATT.
- Experience: Typically, 5 -7 + years in tax advisory and accounting firms.
- Technical Knowledge: In-depth understanding of UK tax laws, regulations, and HMRC guidelines.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to interpret complex tax legislation and apply it to client situations.
- Communication: Spanish and Italian Language would be beneficial, written and verbal skills to explain tax concepts to clients.
- Attention to Detail: Accuracy in tax calculations and compliance reviews.
- Software Proficiency: Experience with tax software (e.g., Quickbook, Xero, Sage & TaxCalc).
Salary & Benefits:
- Salary Range: £80,000 - £90,000 per year full time (varies based on experience and location).
- Part time option of 3 days per week or 5 half days can be considered for the right candidate with pro rata salary.
- Additional Benefits: Pension contributions, remote/hybrid work options, CPD training, etc.
