We are seeking a skilled, creative, and strategic Communications Specialist who shares our passion for evangelism and wants to join our dynamic global External Communications team. The role is responsible for delivering high-quality communications and media relations activities, and proactively surfacing news stories that showcase CV’s impact, ensuring all content consistently reflects CV’s brand, tone of voice, and key narratives.
Specific Responsibilities
- Work closely with the External Communications Manager to outwork CV's External Communications strategy.
- Prepare material and support senior leaders and other CV spokespeople with media briefings, Q&As, and key messaging.
- Collaborate with CV’s initiative teams to identify, develop, and pitch proactive story ideas, including updates and other successes, that raise organisational visibility and impact.
- Craft compelling content for media pitches, articles, website content, newsletters, and other external communications with the aim to inspire people outside of CV to join in our mission to introduce people to Jesus and encourage them to become his true followers.
- Work closely with the Communications and Brand Strategist to ensure content consistently reflects CV’s brand strategy, tone of voice, and key narratives.
- Liaise with the Social Media team to ensure relevant content, including media announcements, is amplified effectively across social platforms to raise CV’s profile and drive traffic to the web platform.
- Coordinate with the Localisation team to ensure relevant content is delivered consistently in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, adapting content for cultural relevance while maintaining brand integrity.
- Support with media relations activities, including developing press materials, responding to media enquiries, monitoring media engagement, and developing reports to inform strategy and demonstrate impact.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with industry stakeholders, journalists, editors, and media outlets to secure high-quality coverage.
- Collaborate with global teams and colleagues across multiple time zones, including occasional out-of-hours availability when required.
- Attend weekly one-on-one meetings with the External Communications Manager and be available for other ad-hoc meetings when needed.

Skills, Experience And Education
- Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field is required.
- Minimum of 3 years experience in media relations, PR, or corporate communications is required.
- Strong writing skills with proven ability to draft, edit, and adapt high-quality content for multiple channels, including media, digital, and stakeholder communications is required.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to deliver initiatives from concept to execution are required.
This role is onsite, located at the Solihull office in the United Kingdom. Only candidates with full working rights for this location will be considered. Sponsorship is not available for this position.
