An established and highly respected engineering manufacturer based in the Tonbridge area is looking to recruit an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join their growing workshop team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy and expanding business that specialises in bespoke stainless-steel fabrication, structural metalwork, and precision engineering projects for commercial and industrial sectors.
The Role
This is a hands-on fabrication position where you will be involved in projects from start to finish. The company operates a "one person, one job" approach, allowing engineers to take ownership of their work throughout the manufacturing process.
Typical duties include:
- MIG and TIG welding
- Stainless steel vessel fabrication
- Sheet metal and plate work
- Stainless steel pipework fabrication
- Structural steel fabrication including:
- Platforms
- Frames
- Walkways
- Staircases
Candidate Requirements
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Around 8 years' hands-on fabrication and welding experience
- Strong MIG and TIG welding skills
- Experience working with stainless steel
- Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
- A proactive attitude and ability to work independently
- Willingness to undertake occasional site work
What's on Offer
Salary between £29,000 - £38,000 depending on experience
- Overtime opportunities available
- Permanent day shift role
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays

- Training provided including:
- Overhead crane training
- Forklift training
- Working at heights training
Working Hours
Monday to Thursday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Friday: 7:00am - 3:00pm
Total: 46.5 hours per week
