The Role
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Production & Quality Manager to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about driving production performance, maintaining the highest quality standards, and developing high-performing teams.
Working on a permanent days shift, you will take responsibility for overseeing production operations while ensuring all quality, safety and compliance standards are consistently achieved. You will also be responsible for managing and maintaining the company's ISO 9001 Quality Management System, ensuring compliance and driving continual improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the day-to-day production operation.
- Manage, maintain and continuously improve the ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Ensure the business remains compliant with ISO 9001 standards and lead internal and external audits.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency, reduce waste and improve product quality.
- Ensure all products meet customer specifications and quality standards.
- Manage and develop production and quality teams.
- Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve operational performance.
- Maintain compliance with health & safety, quality and company procedures.
- Investigate quality issues, conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
- Work closely with engineering, planning and senior management to achieve operational objectives.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in a Production Manager, Manufacturing Manager or Production & Quality Manager position.
- Experience managing and maintaining an ISO 9001 Quality Management System.
- Experience leading internal and external ISO audits.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma would be advantageous.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- A proactive approach with a focus on driving operational excellence.
