Key Responsibilities:
- Mechanical maintenance and repair of distribution equipment: Conveyors, pallet wrappers, tail lifts, loading bays
- General facilities and building maintenance
- Occasional forklift use (training provided if needed)
- Welding and fabrication tasks (advantageous but not essential)
- Progression into refrigeration and specialist equipment maintenance
What We're Looking For:
- NVQ / City & Guilds in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
- Solid experience with: Hydraulic systems - loading bays, tail lifts; Pneumatic systems - pallet wrappers, conveyors; Gearboxes, drives, motors & bearings - key plant components; Chains, belts & rollers - maintenance of moving equipment; General mechanical fitting & fault-finding
- Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or distribution environment
- Confident working independently and solving problems on the spot
- Forklift licence or willingness to train
- Welding skills a plus but not essential
