SHEQ Manager

Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Salary: 55,000- 60,000

We\’re proud to be recruiting on behalf of a respected and rapidly growing company in the manufacturing sector, currently seeking an experienced SHEQ Manager to lead and evolve their SHEQ function.

Role Overview

The SHEQ Manager will take full responsibility for developing, implementing, and maintaining robust SHEQ systems across the business. You\’ll work closely with senior leaders, site teams, and external stakeholders to ensure legal compliance, promote a proactive safety culture, and continuously improve quality and environmental performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage SHEQ policies, procedures, and management systems (e.g., ISO 45001, ISO 14001, ISO 9001)

  • Conduct risk assessments, audits, and site inspections to monitor performance and identify improvements

  • Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, ensuring effective root cause analysis and corrective actions

  • Deliver training, toolbox talks, and guidance to promote a culture of health, safety, and quality awareness

  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure compliance with all applicable legislation and standards

  • Champion continuous improvement initiatives across SHEQ functions

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a SHEQ leadership role (preferably within manufacturing)

  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent qualification (essential)

  • Strong knowledge of ISO management systems and auditing processes

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to influence and drive a culture of accountability and safety
