We are recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their team. This is a site-based position, where the successful engineer will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of heavy mobile plant including loading shovels, 360 grabs, forklift trucks, telehandlers and other mobile machinery.
Please note: this is not a role suited to car mechanics. Our client requires an engineer with strong, hands-on experience in heavy mobile plant and proven diagnostic ability.
- Servicing, maintenance and repair of loading shovels, 360 grabs, telehandlers, forklift trucks and other mobile plant
- Diagnosing and resolving engine and hydraulic faults using diagnostic software
- Welding and fabrication work when required
- Ensuring plant availability is maximised and equipment remains safe and operational
Previous experience as a Mobile Plant Fitter / Heavy Plant Engineer
- Experience using diagnostic software for fault finding
- Welding and fabrication capability
Competitive hourly rate between £18.00 - £23.00 per hour depending on experience
Permanent, long-term position for the successful candidate
Stable role based on a single client site (no field-based travel)
Opportunity to work on a diverse range of heavy plant equipment
