Our client, a well-established and growing industrial business, is looking to recruit an experienced Plant Fitter to join their maintenance team at their Sheffield site. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with heavy plant maintenance experience who enjoys a varied, hands-on role working on a wide range of equipment.

The Role

You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing a fleet of heavy plant machinery to ensure maximum reliability and minimise downtime. Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
  • Fault finding and breakdown repairs
  • Hydraulic fault diagnosis and repairs
  • Servicing and inspections
  • Completing maintenance records and job sheets
  • Working independently and as part of a maintenance team
  • Supporting colleagues across the site when required

Machinery You'll Be Working On

Experience working on some or all of the following would be advantageous:

  • Material Handlers
  • 360 Excavators
  • Loading Shovels
  • Trommels
  • Crushers
  • Screening Equipment
  • Conveyors
  • Other heavy plant and recycling equipment

The Candidate

To be considered, you should have experience as a:

  • Plant Fitter
  • Plant Mechanic
  • Heavy Plant Engineer
  • Mobile Plant Engineer
  • Plant Technician
  • Field Service Engineer (Plant)
  • Maintenance Engineer (Heavy Plant)

You will ideally have:

  • Previous heavy plant maintenance experience
  • Strong hydraulic fault-finding skills
  • Good mechanical repair experience
  • The ability to work independently and use your own initiative
  • A positive attitude and strong team ethic

Working Hours

Monday to Friday: 7:00am - 5:00pm
Saturday mornings as required
