A leading manufacturing business with a strong reputation for quality, innovation and sustainability is looking to recruit an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join its well-established engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a modern production environment where engineering plays a key role in driving reliability and continuous improvement.
As an Electrical Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production machinery and site services, ensuring maximum uptime and equipment reliability.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
- Diagnosing and fault finding on electrical control systems and production equipment.
- Working with PLC-controlled machinery and electrical automation systems.
- Supporting continuous improvement projects to improve plant performance.
- Ensuring all maintenance work is completed safely and in line with company procedures.
- Working closely with production teams to minimise downtime.
The successful candidate is likely to have:
- A recognised electrical engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds, HNC or equivalent).
- Previous maintenance experience within a manufacturing, FMCG, packaging, recycling or heavy industrial environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding skills with experience on motors, drives, sensors, inverters and control systems.
- Knowledge of PLC fault finding (Siemens, Allen Bradley or similar would be advantageous).
- A proactive approach to maintenance and continuous improvement.
- The ability to work effectively within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
