Our client, a leading manufacturing business based in Rotherham, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Team Leader to join their engineering team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineering leader to take responsibility for driving maintenance performance, leading a skilled team, and ensuring maximum equipment reliability within a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, motivate and support a team of multi-skilled maintenance engineers across the shift.

Plan and coordinate preventative and reactive maintenance activities to minimise downtime.

Provide hands-on support with mechanical and electrical fault finding when required.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve plant reliability and performance.

Ensure maintenance work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

Monitor team performance, allocate workloads and support the development of engineers.

Liaise closely with production and other departments to ensure engineering priorities are met.

Maintain accurate maintenance records and ensure compliance with health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Previous experience in a Maintenance Team Leader, Engineering Supervisor or Senior Maintenance Engineer position.

Strong mechanical and/or electrical maintenance background within a manufacturing or industrial environment.

Proven leadership experience with the ability to motivate and develop engineering teams.

Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.

A proactive approach to continuous improvement and maintenance best practices.

Willingness to work a rotating three-shift pattern (Monday-Friday).
