Quality Controller Days £32,000 – £38,000 About Us The Role Our client are looking for an experienced Quality Controller to ensure our customer products meet strict quality standards and customer expectations. This hands-on role focuses on welding quality, dimensional accuracy, and compliance with EN 1090 standards. Every day is different-perfect for someone who thrives on variety and precision. What You\’ll Do Inspect in-house and subcontracted fabrications for compliance with drawings, standards, and EN 1090. Oversee welding quality, perform visual/dimensional checks, and verify documentation (WPS, weld maps, material traceability). Identify and resolve quality issues, support audits (ISO 9001, EN 1090), and drive continuous improvement. What We\’re Looking For Proven QC/inspection experience in steel fabrication or heavy engineering. Strong knowledge of EN 1090, CE/UKCA marking, and welding standards (ISO 5817, ISO 3834-2, ISO 9606-1). Ability to read technical drawings and weld symbols with precision. Detail-oriented, analytical, and confident in problem-solving.
