The Role
We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer to join our established manufacturing business, supporting quality operations across three UK sites: Stockport, Irvine and Warrington. This is a key role responsible for maintaining and developing the Quality Management System, ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, and acting as a quality interface with both customers and suppliers. You will report directly to the QA Manager and work closely with engineering and production teams across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and improve ISO 9001 compliance across all sites
- Manage and support internal and external audits
- Lead and support APQP activities
- Ownership and development of the QMS across all three sites
- Act as the quality point of contact for customers and suppliers
- Support continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing
Experience / Skills / Qualifications
- Background in manufacturing or engineering (non-food environment essential)
- Steel industry experience is highly advantageous
- Time-served engineers are welcome
- Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001
- Experience with audits, supplier quality and customer quality management
- Practical, hands-on approach with good communication skills
