I\’m recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturing business that is continuing to grow and invest in its people and processes. This is a fantastic opportunity to take full ownership of site-wide Quality, Health, Safety & Environmental standards and drive continuous improvement across operations.
The Role
As the QHSE Manager , you\’ll be responsible for maintaining and developing the Integrated Management System (IMS) and ensuring continued accreditation to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards. You\’ll work closely with the Operations Director and site leadership team to embed a strong safety and quality culture, ensuring compliance, sustainability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities:

Maintain and develop the site\’s IMS and ensure continued ISO 9001 & 14001 accreditation.

Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and statutory requirements.

Promote and embed a strong Health & Safety culture across the site.

Lead and conduct risk assessments, identify potential hazards, and develop corrective actions.

Create and implement site action plans, monitor progress, and report on QHSE performance.

Liaise with external auditors and inspection bodies (HSE, ISO, Local Authority, Fire Services, Insurance, etc.).

Review training and competency requirements with Team Leaders and arrange training as required.

Report on site performance to leadership and statutory bodies when needed.

Obtain and maintain sustainability accreditations.

Monitor operational KPIs, investigate root causes, and drive improvement.

Provide consolidated reporting on incidents, accidents, and trends.
About You
Essential:
-
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent).
-
Proven QHSE experience within a manufacturing environment.
-
Hands-on experience leading external audits to ISO 9001 & 14001 standards.

Strong understanding of QESH principles (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety).
Desirable:
-
LEAN Six Sigma Black Belt (or equivalent).

A proactive approach to continuous improvement and a passion for developing site culture.
The Package

Salary: £45,000-£50,000 (DOE)
