We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established and growing engineering business specialising in the service, installation, and maintenance of pump systems across sectors including commercial, water treatment, utilities, and manufacturing. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to appoint an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their South West service team.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on field-based role where you will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of industrial pump systems at customer sites across the region. Working independently and alongside a wider engineering support team, you will play a key role in ensuring equipment reliability, minimising downtime, and delivering excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Service, maintain, and repair:
- Centrifugal pumps
- Submersible pumps
- Positive displacement pumps
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical faults on-site
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Install and commission new pump systems and associated equipment
- Provide technical support and advice to customers
- Complete service reports and documentation accurately
- Ensure all work is carried out safely and in line with company procedures
