We're working with a well-established food manufacturing business who are looking to add an experienced Production Supervisor to their leadership team. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone with strong people skills and a solid background in fast-paced food production environments.
The Role
As Production Supervisor, you'll be responsible for overseeing day-to-day production activities, ensuring output, quality, and food safety standards are consistently met. You'll lead from the front, motivating your team and driving continuous improvement across the shift.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and lead a team of production operatives on shift
- Ensure production targets, KPIs, and deadlines are achieved
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality (HACCP, BRC, GMP)
- Monitor and improve productivity, waste, and downtime
- Carry out shift handovers, reporting, and performance reviews
- Support training, onboarding, and development of team members
- Work closely with Quality, Engineering, and Management teams
The Ideal Candidate
- Proven experience as a Production Supervisor / Team Leader within food manufacturing
- Strong understanding of food safety, quality standards, and hygiene regulations
- Confident people manager with a hands-on leadership style
- Able to work under pressure in a high-volume production environment
- Good communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
