MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR Location: East Midlands Salary: Up to £44,000 Hours: Days Our client is an established industrial business seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join their engineering team. This is a hands-on role supervising a small maintenance team while carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across industrial machinery and equipment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out PPM, reactive and corrective maintenance. Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults. Maintain production machinery and equipment. Fault find on motors, drives, sensors, contactors, inverters/VFDs and PLC-controlled equipment. Maintain conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings and hydraulic systems. Supervise and coordinate a small maintenance team. Plan and prioritise maintenance activities. Ensure PPM schedules are completed on time. Record maintenance activity using a CMMS. Support health, safety and environmental requirements. Identify recurring faults and improve equipment reliability. Work with production and engineering teams to minimise downtime. Support continuous improvement.ABOUT YOU Previous industrial maintenance experience is essential, with good mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Essential requirements: Relevant engineering or maintenance qualification, or equivalent experience. Previous maintenance engineering or supervisory experience. Good mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills. Experience with PPM and reactive maintenance. Experience supervising or coordinating maintenance personnel. Good understanding of health, safety and environmental requirements. Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience using a CMMS or maintenance management system.
