Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer Newton Aycliffe | £45,000 | Double Days CV Technical are currently working with a well-established manufacturing business based in Newton Aycliffe who are looking to add an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Maintenance Engineer to their team. This is a great opportunity for an engineer looking for a stable role within a modern manufacturing environment, working a double-day shift pattern with no permanent nights. The Role As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for keeping production machinery and site equipment running efficiently, carrying out both planned and reactive maintenance across the site. You will be involved in: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) Responding to breakdowns and fault finding Mechanical and electrical maintenance of production machinery Diagnosing faults and getting equipment back up and running Working on motors, sensors, drives, conveyors, pneumatics and hydraulics Supporting machinery installations and improvements Identifying recurring faults and helping improve equipment reliability Maintaining accurate maintenance records Working closely with production to minimise downtime Following all relevant Health & Safety procedures The Person The ideal candidate will have previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment and be comfortable working across both mechanical and electrical systems.
