Key Responsibilities

  • Mechanical maintenance and repair of distribution equipment
  • Conveyors, pallet wrappers, tail lifts, loading bays
  • General facilities and building maintenance

  • Welding and fabrication tasks (advantageous but not essential)
  • Progression into refrigeration and specialist equipment maintenance

What We\’re Looking For

  • NVQ / City & Guilds in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Electrical)
  • Solid experience with:
    • Hydraulic systems – loading bays, tail lifts
    • Pneumatic systems – pallet wrappers, conveyors
    • Gearboxes, drives, motors & bearings – key plant components
    • Chains, belts & rollers – maintenance of moving equipment
    • General mechanical fitting & fault-finding
    • Previous experience in a factory, warehouse, or distribution environment
    • Confident working independently and solving problems on the spot
    • Forklift licence or willingness to train
    • Welding skills a plus but not essential
