Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer – Mechanical Bias | £40K-£55K + Overtime | Flexible Day Shifts Are you a hands-on engineer with a strong mechanical background? We\’re looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established manufacturing business, supporting critical operations and driving continuous improvement across the plant. This role offers a great blend of practical maintenance, problem-solving, and the opportunity to work closely with a dedicated factory team. The Role: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to keep downtime to a minimum Carry out Total Plant Maintenance and support other team members Maintain accurate spare parts stock levels Analyse plant data to identify areas for improvement Advise management on performance enhancements Apply strong problem-solving skills to identify root causes quickly What You\’ll Need: Strong mechanical skillset with basic electrical knowledge (70/30 mechanical bias) Experience in welding, fabrication, fitting, and fault finding Time-served experience in a similar industrial or manufacturing setting Engineering qualifications desirable, but not essential What\’s On Offer: Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 (up to £55K with overtime/shift allowance) Shift: 8-hour day shifts (flexible between 7am-4pm) Overtime: Paid at 1.5x (including optional Saturday shifts) Call-Outs: Rare – paid flat rate + overtime Benefits: Company pension, life assurance, standard holidays Support: Training provided, report directly to Team Leader Progression: Opportunities for development within the team
