We're looking for an experienced Maintenance Engineer to join a growing FMCG/food manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a mechanically focused engineer who enjoys hands-on maintenance, fault-finding and keeping production equipment running efficiently.
With a minimum 70/30 mechanical bias, you'll play a key role within a team of six engineers, with excellent opportunities for training, development and progression into more senior positions.
The Role
As a Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for the planned and reactive maintenance of a range of production and site equipment, including:
- Conveyors and associated systems
- Generators
- Gearboxes
- Sprockets, chains and belts
- Mechanical fault-finding and repairs
- Welding and fabrication - highly desirable
- Preventative and reactive maintenance
- Supporting the smooth running of production equipment
About You
We're looking for someone with:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent as a minimum
- Strong mechanical maintenance experience
- A minimum 70/30 mechanical/electrical skillset
- Experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or a similar production environment
- Good fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience working with conveyors, gearboxes, belts, chains and sprockets
- Welding and fabrication skills would be an advantage
- A proactive approach and strong commitment to engineering standards
