Due to continued growth, they are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead their engineering team, drive technical excellence, and oversee the successful delivery of complex engineering projects.
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced engineering leader who enjoys combining technical expertise with team development, strategic planning and client engagement.
As the Engineering Manager, you will provide technical leadership across the engineering department, ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest engineering standards. You will lead a team of engineers and technical specialists while working closely with clients to develop innovative engineering solutions.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement and engineering excellence.
- Review and approve structural calculations, engineering drawings and technical documentation.
- Provide technical leadership on steel structures, structural analysis and engineering best practice.
- Manage engineering resources, workloads and project priorities to ensure successful project delivery.
- Carry out site visits, inspections and technical assessments where required.
- Drive improvements to engineering processes, systems and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with Eurocodes, British Standards and all relevant engineering regulations.
- Provide engineering oversight and technical support during bridge installation and deconstruction activities, ensuring safe design principles and compliance with the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM).
Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent). Proven experience leading and developing engineering teams. Strong background within bridge engineering, infrastructure, heavy construction or related sectors. Excellent understanding of structural analysis, load calculations and finite element analysis. Strong knowledge of Eurocodes, British Standards and engineering design governance. Experience delivering engineering projects from concept through to construction and handover. Commercial awareness with the ability to balance technical excellence with project delivery.
