An established manufacturing site in the LE11 area is looking to recruit two Mechanical Maintenance Engineers to strengthen its engineering team. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced production environment, ideal for an engineer with a strong mechanical background and basic electrical competence.
The Role:
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on production machinery
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults (bearings, belts, gearboxes, pneumatics, hydraulics, etc.)
- Supporting electrical fault finding where required (sensors, motors, basic controls)
- Contributing to continuous improvement and breakdown reduction
- Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with site procedures
The Ideal Candidate:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
- Strong mechanical skillset with basic electrical knowledge (70/30 or 60/40 split)
- Recognised engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Comfortable working continental shifts
