The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Production Shift Supervisor to join a well-established manufacturing business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced production professional looking to take the next step in their career with a company that values leadership, continuous improvement and operational excellence. As the Production Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading a team to ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate and develop a team of production operatives.
- Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Promote and maintain a strong health and safety culture across the shift.
- Monitor product quality and ensure all procedures and standards are followed.
- Coordinate staffing levels and allocate work effectively.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and drive process efficiencies.
- Work closely with engineering, quality and warehouse teams to minimise downtime and maximise output.
- Complete shift handovers, production reports and relevant documentation.
- Support the training and development of team members.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience in a Production Supervisor, Shift Supervisor or Team Leader position within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience working to production KPIs and targets.
- A proactive approach to problem solving and continuous improvement.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Knowledge of Health & Safety and quality standards within manufacturing.
- Comfortable working a continental shift pattern.
