Due to continued growth and investment in our engineering department, we are looking to recruit a Junior Engineer to join our successful team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring engineer looking to develop their skills within a fast-paced manufacturing environment, working alongside experienced engineers and gaining exposure to a wide range of automated production equipment.
The Role
As a Junior Engineer, you will play a key role in supporting the engineering team to ensure the efficient operation of production machinery and equipment. You will assist with planned preventative maintenance, fault finding, repairs, and continuous improvement activities while developing your engineering knowledge and experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the engineering team in carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) activities.
- Assist with diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults on production equipment.
- Complete work orders and maintenance tasks assigned by Lead Engineers.
- Ensure engineering downtime information and maintenance records are accurately completed.
- Work closely with production teams to maximise equipment efficiency and minimise downtime.
- Support equipment repairs and maintenance in accordance with company procedures and safety standards.
- Assist with ordering spare parts and maintaining engineering stock controls.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, quality and health.
