We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established engineering manufacturer that designs and produces complex components for highly regulated industries. Due to continued growth, they are looking to add a Manufacturing Engineer to their team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and forward-thinking business working on technically challenging projects.
The Role:
As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and improving production processes, supporting new product introductions and driving continuous improvement across manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimise manufacturing processes
- Create and maintain work instructions, build manuals and process documentation
- Provide hands-on technical support on the shop floor
- Lead New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and support first-off builds
- Drive continuous improvement to improve efficiency and reduce waste
- Investigate production issues and implement corrective actions
- Work closely with design teams to ensure manufacturability
- Support quality inspections, audits and root cause analysis
- Assist with tooling design and process development (moulds, jigs, fixtures)
- Ensure compliance with health, safety and quality standards
Experience & Skills Required:
- Experience in a manufacturing or production engineering environment
- Background in process improvement and NPI
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Comfortable working in low-volume, high-complexity manufacturing
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
