We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation for an experienced HGV Fitter to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional looking for long-term stability, strong earning potential, and career progression.
Working Hours
Monday to Friday 6:45am - 5:15pm (10-hour shifts) Overtime and weekend work available as required.
The Role
You will be responsible for the maintenance, servicing, and repair of a fleet of HGVs and plant machinery, ensuring all vehicles and equipment remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults
- Carry out scheduled servicing (e.g. brakes, oil, filters)
- Respond promptly to breakdowns to minimise downtime
- Maintain accurate service and repair records
- Support junior team members and apprentices
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
