We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation seeking a hands-on and experienced Maintenance Team Leader. This is a key role within the maintenance function, offering the opportunity to lead a committed team and drive operational efficiency across the site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise a team of maintenance engineers and technicians.
- Plan and coordinate daily maintenance activities, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Support fault diagnosis and repair of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
- Ensure the maintenance schedule is delivered effectively and efficiently.
- Promote and uphold health and safety standards at all times.
- Identify opportunities for improvement and support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance tasks, breakdowns, and performance metrics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a maintenance supervisory or team leader role.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical and/or electrical systems.
- Ability to prioritise and delegate tasks effectively under pressure.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Recognised engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3, HNC/HND, or equivalent).
- Experience in FMCG or Food Industry is preferred but not essential.
