We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plant engineer to work on a varied fleet of construction equipment, carrying out maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs both in the workshop and at customer sites. A company van will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, service and repair a large fleet of construction plant machinery.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults efficiently and safely.
- Work on a wide range of equipment, including:
- Excavators (800kg to 14 tonnes)
- Tracked and wheeled dumpers (up to 9 tonnes)
- Telehandlers
- Rollers
- Other construction plant machinery
- Complete service records and inspection certificates accurately.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and is safe for hire.
- Carry out both workshop-based and mobile service work as required.
About You
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
- The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
- High-quality welding skills.
- Previous experience working on construction plant machinery.
- The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
