Maintenance Engineer Manufacturing | Glossop Monday-Friday | 7:00am-3:30pm | £42,000 An established manufacturing business based in Glossop is looking for a hands-on Maintenance Engineer to join its engineering team. This is a great opportunity for a mechanically strong engineer looking for a Monday-Friday, days-only position, working 7:00am-3:30pm, within a stable manufacturing environment. You'll be responsible for keeping production machinery and equipment running reliably, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, and supporting ongoing improvements across the site. Key Responsibilities - Maintenance Engineer Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across production machinery Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults Fault-finding on electrical systems and components Working with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and pneumatic systems Carrying out preventative maintenance to reduce machinery downtime Responding to breakdowns and identifying root causes Supporting machinery upgrades and continuous improvement projects Carrying out fabrication, welding and general workshop maintenance where required Working closely with production teams to resolve machinery issues Helping improve the reliability and efficiency of site equipment Essential Skills & Experience Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer within a manufacturing environment Strong mechanical maintenance background Experience fault-finding on production machinery Good electrical maintenance and fault-finding skills Experience with motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and pneumatics Practical, hands-on approach to engineering Ability to diagnose faults and implement permanent solutions Manufacturing, production or process engineering experience Package & Benefits £42,000 per annum Monday-Friday 7:00am-3:30pm Days-only working No regular nights or weekend shifts Excellent work-life balance Ongoing training and development Stable position within an established manufacturing business Commutable from: Glossop, Buxton, Stockport, Hyde, New Mills, Marple, Manchester and surrounding areas
