A leading manufacturing business is looking to add a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to their established engineering team at their Diss site. This is a great opportunity to join a busy production environment with long term stability, strong investment and a well-structured engineering function.
The role will suit a mechanically biased engineer from a fast-paced manufacturing background who is confident working on breakdowns, PPMs and continuous improvement projects across production machinery and site equipment.
Key Responsibilities:- Reactive and planned mechanical maintenance across site machinery.
- Fault finding on conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings and pneumatic systems.
- Carrying out PPM work to minimise downtime and improve reliability.
- Supporting production during breakdown situations to ensure targets are met.
- Working closely with the wider engineering and production teams.
- Assisting with machinery improvements and engineering projects.
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and in line with site standards.
- Previous experience working within a manufacturing or production environment.
- Strong mechanical fault finding and maintenance experience.
- Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics would be beneficial.
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced environment.
- Engineering qualifications would be advantageous.
- Open to working in Panama shifts, days and nights.
