We are recruiting for an experienced CNC Miller / Programmer to join a well-established precision engineering company supplying high-tolerance components into demanding industries including aerospace. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled machinist looking to work in a modern machining environment with opportunities for training and progression.

The Role

  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines
  • Working on 3-axis and 4-axis machining centres
  • Editing and amending Fanuc programs at the machine
  • Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
  • Machining a range of materials including steels, titanium and engineering plastics
  • Maintaining quality standards and completing self-inspection checks

Requirements

  • Previous experience operating and setting CNC milling machines
  • Ability to use Fanuc controls confidently
  • Experience with Haas and/or Bridgeport milling machines advantageous
  • Strong background machining precision components
  • Ability to amend programs and make offsets independently
  • Experience working within a high-precision or aerospace environment preferred
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances

Package

  • Salary up to £38,000 depending on experience
  • Overtime available
  • Day shift pattern: Monday to Thursday: 6:45am - 4:30pm, Friday: 7:00am - 12:00pm
  • Christmas shutdown
