Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 per year (depending on experience)

We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established company for an experienced Mobile Plant Fitter to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled plant engineer to work on a varied fleet of construction equipment, carrying out maintenance, servicing, inspections, and repairs both in the workshop and at customer sites. A company van will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, service and repair a large fleet of construction plant machinery.
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults efficiently and safely.
  • Work on a wide range of equipment, including:
    • Excavators (800kg to 14 tonnes)
    • Tracked and wheeled dumpers (up to 9 tonnes)
    • Telehandlers
    • Rollers
    • Other construction plant machinery
  • Complete service records and inspection certificates accurately.
  • Ensure all equipment is maintained to a high standard and is safe for hire.
  • Carry out both workshop-based and mobile service work as required.
About You
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems.
  • The ability to diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently.
  • High-quality welding skills.
  • Previous experience working on construction plant machinery.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
