Are you an experienced Health & Safety professional looking to take ownership of a role and make a real impact? We're seeking a proactive H&S Lead to join a well-established manufacturing business within the plastics sector.
The Role
This is a hands-on position with 80% of your time spent on the shop floor, working closely with operations to drive safety culture and continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting risk assessments across a high-risk engineering environment
- Leading and supporting internal audits
- Driving process improvements to enhance safety and efficiency
- Delivering Toolbox Talks and engaging staff at all levels
- Creating and presenting reports using PowerPoint
- Acting as the sole HSE officer on site
You will be supported initially by the Engineering Manager and work closely with the Operations Manager, giving you strong visibility and influence across the business.
About You
We're looking for someone who can hit the ground running and confidently lead H&S on-site.
Essential:
- Proven experience in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards
- Experience in high-risk engineering settings
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage shop floor teams

Package & Benefits
Salary: Up to £42,000
Hours: Monday-Thursday 8:15am-5:00pm, Friday 8:15am-1:00pm
Holidays: 26 days + bank holidays
